Pamela faces various forms trials in the process of working for Mr. B and she declines all the attempts that her new boss puts her through. Despite her request to be released to join her parents, Mr. B takes her to another Lincolnshire estate as a prisoner where Pamela gets a new boss who is the local preacher, Mr. Williams. It does not take a long time before Pamela and Mr. Williams get cozy with each other and develop a relationship with the goal of getting married. Upon realizing the plan between Pamela and Mr. Williams, Mr. Jewkes and Mr. B organizes for Mr. B to rape Pamela, a plan which becomes successful. After the ordeal, Pamela is released to join her parents, and it is at this point that a real love booms between Pamela and Mr. B and the two agree to get married.

It is prudent that the novel focuses about the rewarding of virtue that Pamela showed, the virtue of chastity, and this is apparent in the various ways in which she rejected the sexual advances of Mr. B, and the way she tries to keep away from illicit sexual escapades. In this manner, there will be an examination of various books and articles about reward of virtue and how it helps the society to live according to morally accepted principles in the society. It would create an opportunity to analyze view of different authors on the need to maintain ones virtue and benefits of the same.

The book focuses on the ideas of Giacinto Dragonetti which was also a student of Neapolitan Antonio Genovesi, the one who founded Economia Civile tradition In the book, Bruni outlines the importance of the theory which awards good deeds and virtues. In this manner, the book suggests that good citizens carry out their good deeds basing on intrinsic reasons and that they have well thought views and ideas prior to acting the way they do.

Additionally, the book also outlines the effect that good deeds has on the economic welfare of the population in that they directly lead to the path of incentives. It proves that there is a need for the population to acknowledge and appreciate the good and at the same time punish the evil deeds in the society. In summary, the paper suggests that Dragonettis thoughts are of importance both in the history of economic thought and for the contemporary economic theory hence suggesting the need to further the same ideas for the benefits of the society and development of economies. Appreciating the good deeds and the doers of the same helps in encouraging such acts in the population to ensure that there is longevity in the success that the society witnesses in the modern world.

Davison, Ian, et al. "How to assess childrens virtue literacy: methodological lessons learnt from the Knightly Virtues programme." Journal of Beliefs & Values 37.1 (2016): 16-28.

Nurturing children while they are still young to equip themselves with various virtues helps them to keep such up to their old age or at least in their later lives. The book examines positive effects of a programme called Knightly Virtues whose aim is to teach moral virtues to children between the age of nine years to the eleven years. The programme is rolled out mostly in schools in the United Kingdom. Additionally, the book proves that there is a different level of virtue literacy in both the faith and the non-faith schools and posits that teaching children about the virtues in schools is the most effective process of teaching and guiding children.

Moreover, the book also proves that there are less problems regarding the practical concerns of running the trials which measures the importance of character education processes. The second issue that was examined was checking whether they had prior experiences on community service, third issue was how well they interacted with the members of Newton Connecticut community. The fourth issue that was examined was the changes that were made in the course of the process of carrying out the project, and finally was the evidence that their actions were having a positive effect on the members of Newton Connecticut community.
