Gender has a minimal impact in determining the participants in current education systems. A difference is created by distinctive interests of both genders in education. About 67.4% of males and females in education are more interested in obtaining at least a bachelors degree from a recognized public or a private university. This indicates that many students have no or have low interest in other educational levels like masters degree, diploma, Ph.D., and others.
According to the survey that was conducted based on gender involvement in education, 436 students were interviewed. 254 of them were females representing 58.26%. Males who took part in the interview were 178 indicating 40.83% of all participants and the rest were four representing 0.92%. According to the survey, it was realized that gender has no great impact in the selection of educational participants but it had an impact in developing career interest and obligations among differing genders. A second group has working professionals of age 25 to 40 years and above. This is according to Arvine, Code, and Richards in 2013. Various agency groups have categorized working professionals variously. For instance, IBIS World categorized them in into various stages whereby students took 40.0% from the age of 18 to 21 years representing the first group of working professionals. 34.3% represented the second group that comprised of age between ages 22 to 29 years old. 30 years and above represented the third class with 2.4%. Students of 17 years and below represented 1.3% of the whole population. According to the IBIS survey, younger working professionals took the highest portion of the survey.
In the comparison of the result with IBIS World US which was the final result of the survey, participants were divided with respect to the survey result in multiple groups. This was mainly concentrated in San Diego and Riverside Counties in the US. The first category of the working professionals took 51.13% of the total survey ranging from 18 to 24 years old. 26.455 was represented by the second group of working professionals ranging from 25 to 34 years old. 10.08% was taken by the third group having an age bracket of between 35 to 40 years. The fourth category had 9.32% with an age group range of 50 to 54 years old. The fifth group took 2.52% with an age group range of 55to 65 years old. The last, sixth group had 0.50% comprising of professionals of 65 years and above.
The age bracket of between 18 and 24 years had the highest portion of the working professionals according to the survey of up to 51.13%. The population comprised of young, energetic and available professionals. The survey showed a constant decline of working professionals with increasing age bracket with a possible increase in death rates, a decreasing working population, aging, body weakness and increased responsibilities.
Capital state government came up with a master plan that was aimed at making education cheap and readily available to all citizens up to higher most learning institutions. This was according to Douglas (2010). The main mandate of implementing the program was to motivate learners to move through all education levels easily from high schools, colleges or even to the working professions. There has been a tremendous increase in demand for education through all educational levels with a significant figure approved to have completed their high school education before reaching 25 years of age. According to the survey, 55.28% did college, 19.85% di associate degree. The percentage of the individuals completing high school rose from 85% to 88% between 2005 and 2015 before reaching 25 years. A demand to obtain a degree rose to 33% from 28% young adults completing high school rose from 86% to 91%
