Osteopathic medicine is a branch of the medical profession that treats patients by boosting the natural ability of the bodys tissues and organs to self-repair. An osteopathic physician, a licensed medical doctor, works closely with patients to guide them in the healing process. Osteopathic physicians perform surgery in the United States and approximately 65 other countries. Apart from providing the services the other types of doctors can offer, an osteopathic physician has the advantage of being able to perform hands-on diagnosis and treatment through a treatment system known as osteopathic manipulative medicine. The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) is the one of the best colleges for aspiring osteopathic physician, not only because of its wholesome commitment to osteopathic medicine, but also because of the dedicated faculty and well equipped learning facilities.
The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine is not just a college where you learn how to become a doctor, but it offers much more than that. As an aspiring osteopathic physician, I believe that AZCOM is the place I should study to become a well-qualified and competent osteopathic physician. For one to become an osteopathic physician, one needs to treat patients as unique persons with social, biological and psychological needs. These patients need to be treated with compassion by passionate physicians. AZCOM is known to train the students with the skills necessary for one to be a competent osteopathic physician. Through a well thought-of curriculum and a student-centered faculty, AZCOM can help me build a future as one of the best health personnel. The type of education offered in AZCOM also concentrates in practical training, which offers the students an opportunity to learn what is expected of them once they graduate. Through the graduation rates and alumni, AZCOM has proved to be among the best colleges of osteopathic medicine, which is why I strongly believe that I would acquire the medical education I need in AZCOM.
I have had the dream to study medicine and have a career as a medical professional for as long as I can remember. Giving care and treatment to those who need it the most, and putting into use what I have learnt in medical college to improve the health of needy patients is what I desire to do. I believe that being an osteopathic physician would give me such an opportunity. More specifically, I find osteopathy intellectually exciting; especially how osteopathic physicians emphasize preventive medicine, using the bodys self-healing powers to overcome ailments, and maintaining the body structure for good health.
The Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine would be suitable for me because first, I have the academic qualifications required for one to be trained to be an osteopathic physician at the institution. Secondly, I have the passion to influence peoples health by offering alternative healthcare services. I am particularly interested in the self-healing aspects of the body that osteopathic physicians make use of to offer treatment to patients, which is distinctly different, more effective, and more sustainable than methods used by allopathic physicians. I admire the work done by these physicians and would be immensely excited to be accepted to this years osteopathic medicine class at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. This would give me the opportunity to train and study as an osteopathic physician, skills I can then employ in improving many a patients health upon graduation from the institution.
