Global Economic

Competition in the field of media has been stimulated by economic globalization, the competitors are creating a threatening environment to the accomplishment of the companys goals. Other companies have expanded their operation into international standards and enjoying the global economic standards in the service that they offer, therefore making them gaining a lot of profit. Contrary to News Corporation, they have limited resources which inhibit them from enjoying global economic. However, even after they will introduce the newly proposed division, it will still remain a challenge for them to penetrate between the competitors and to become on the top notch of the market.

The global economic demands aggressiveness in establishing innovative system of operation, in order to attract more consumers, and provide them with a user-friendly system that will favor their life style and convenience. The traditional broadcasting will limit the business operation, but the new proposed division will cover the whole world regardless of the consumers geographical location.

Legal, and Regulatory Forces

The laws and policy of operating into the internet system differ from that of the traditional broadcasting. In this case, if the new proposed system will allow the company to operate globally, there will be a problem in adjusting to the different government regulations that governs the operation of the internet broadcasting and streaming. Some of these policies do not favor the operation of this corporate, for instance, the government has the power of demanding a removal of articular news that they feel that it does not favor them. To some instance there will be shutting down of the website by other agencies due to some unclear circumstances such as policy violation which were unfairly enacted.

Trend

The gradual growth of the internet has boosted the interaction of the people globally and it has reduced the distance between continents and countries hence making world to become a global village. In the todays century internet is majorly used by people to access into the news and video while they are virtually located, unlike the tradition method that was not much adaptive by many. The new system is aligned with the modern trend in the field of broadcasting and hence it will allow persons to access the on-demand services like video streaming and downloading. Additionally, the new system will allow the corporate to have a close interaction with the customers; the new digital platform will be based on News, Sports, and Entertainment (Pliniussen, Jones, & Cram, 2002),

Analyze and Explain the Supply Chain of the New Division of the Existing Business

The new proposed system will present stories on a digital platform, hence allowing the clients to enjoy the audio-vision content and interact with the content generators. The system will allow the user to subscribe and then access the content that they find to be most appropriate for them based on their geographical location, by customizing the digital content. The system will provide the on-demand services like the streaming and download of videos (Casero-Ripolles, & Izquierdo-Castillo, 2013). Since the new system is conversant with the traditional publishing market, it will, therefore, adapt to the new system in a suitable manner. The aim of the system is to make the corporation to be a one-stop shop for the sport, news and entertainment needs for consumers.

Critique how well the organization adapts to change

The organization is such adapted to the new changes because it has needed resources needed for the migration to the new innovation. Furthermore, the organization already has earned a reputation in the media sector which is very essential when migrating into the innovative systems of operation.

Share your plans to develop and leverage core competencies and resources within the supply chain in an effort to make a positive impact on the business model and the various stakeholders.

The new system will need to be developed by the technicians who have the suitable reputation on it and the ones who were involved in constructing that of the competitors. After the constructions, the employees will be taken through the training that will help them in acquiring required knowledge in operating the system. The new system will integrate the traditional printing system together with the previously sold newspapers, journals, and other news. The system will have the free version plus the subscribed ones which are arranged with different desired packages to suit the clients service value. Some of the stakeholders that will be included in making this proposed system reality include investors, policy makers, government, media sector associations and the public (Rogers, Finley, & Galloway, 2001).

Discuss the primary internal organizational considerations for the development of a strategic plan.

The main player for the primary internal organization that needs to be considered in the development of the strategic plans includes.

Restructuring of the employee system.

The employee system will be based on the settings of the departments, such as IT department, Achieve department, sports departments, new departments, international affairs department, financial department, sales department, customers feedback and services department, and so on.

Poaching employees from another successful company.

There will be need of acquiring some best performing employees from the competitors. At least, in this case, the poached employees will be having adequate skills and technical-know how on the operation of the similar system since they learned from the former employment lace. The new employees will be able to train and share their skills with the colleagues and brainstorm the management on how to improve the system (Rogers, Finley, & Galloway, 2001)..

Identify the major issues and/or opportunities the company faces based on your analysis.

Opportunity

The company will be able to have the space of advertising their clients good and services in the digital form that are located at the different part of the world. Users of the services will be viewing the advertisements based on their geographical locations. The advertisement will play a major role in the revenue contributions for the company (Rogers, Finley, & Galloway, 2001)..

Issues

Employees retrenchment. As presented by Rogers, Finley, and Galloway (2001), the company will have to lose some of its most loyal employees; this because eth newly proposed system will need to lay down some extra workers who worked on the traditional form because the new innovation will perform their roles more efficiently and professionally.
